Abstract
This paper details the process to establish a new bilingual academic minor in health communication and medical interpretation at a United States university designated as a Hispanic-Serving Institution. The degree offers bilingual Spanish and English students specializing in health careers with the opportunity to enhance their communication skills to become competent language-concordant health professionals.
